Hot Room Toledo

Most people that come to a class at The Hot Room Toledo Yoga have never done yoga before, so don’t feel intimidated. It’s just stretching done in a heated room!

A few hot tips to keep in mind when coming to your first class:

  1. Arrive early. When coming in for your first time, arrive PROMPTLY 15-20 minutes before the start of class so you can receive a First Time Student Orientation. During Orientation you will fill out some basic paperwork and become acquainted with the studio. Lastly, the teacher will explain what to do inside of the yoga room during your first class. We welcome those currently on medication, with recent injuries or chronic conditions — just please let us know before class so we know how to best help you.
  2. Follow the lead. When you enter the yoga room, the mirrors will be in the front of the room. For your first class, place your mat towards the middle or back of the room so you have examples in front of you.
  3. Bring a towel. Use one of your bath towels to put on top of your mat. This soaks up your sweat and provides some cushion when we start floor postures.
  4. Do the best you can. It is only yoga, and you are only human. The only thing we ask of you on your first visit is to stay in the room for the whole 90 minutes, allowing your body to start to acclimate to the heat.

It is most important to just bring yourself to your first Hot Room Toledo yoga class, but we do recommend a few other things:

Class times either run 90 or 60 minutes. Please plan to stay in class the entire time.

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your first class to register and meet your instructor. Be sure to inform your teacher of any medical issues.

Bring a yoga mat, large towel and water bottle (all available for purchase or rent).

Do not eat for about 2-3 hours before class.

YES, HYDRATE! Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your first class.

Wear something light: men wear shorts or swim trunks, ladies often shorts and tank top/sports bra.

Showers are available and you may want to bring a change of clothes or a towel for after class.

Be ready to SWEAT!

We all have different strengths and opportunities for improvement. If you feel you are not flexible — it’s okay! The heated room and the postures create more flexibility in the body. If you are flexible but need to gain strength, the series of postures will help you, too. If you suffer from injuries or a chronic condition, this yoga will help you heal your body. All you need is patience and a desire to be happy and healthy!

Experience the heat and get energized at The Hot Room Yoga Toledo.
